Our team is a year-round competitive USA Swimming team offering high quality, professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to promote a lifetime of wellness through the sport of swimming in a safe and inclusive environment.

Head Site Coach - Rhianna Hensler

Coach Rhianna started at Life Time in 2023 with the summer swim team. She has previously coached at multiple levels, including survival swim instructing, USA club teams, and college summer camps. She began swimming at 7 years old and had a successful club career, including multiple Junior National cuts and an NCSA record in the 400-medley relay. In high school, she was a 2x All-American, a 4x MHSAA State Champion, and an MHSAA State record holder in the 100-yard butterfly. She swam collegiately at the University of Notre Dame and Oakland University, where she finished her career with an NCAA Horizon League team title. She specialized in butterfly and IM. She is also passionate about triathlons, having completed her first half-Ironman in September 2025. Rhianna graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling at Oakland University.


 

Assistant Coach - Mia K

 

Coach Mia joined our staff in September 2025 and brings years of athletic and coaching experience to the program. She has previously coached at several USA club and summer teams. Growing up, she swam for multiple clubs in the area, including Club Wolverine (a top-15 age group team in the nation). Mia competed collegiately for Oakland University, where she enjoyed a successful career including 5x NCAA Horizon League Team Champion titles, multiple Horizon League Championship titles (Relay), and 2x CSCAA Championship qualifier. She specialized in sprint freestyle and butterfly. Mia graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences with minors in Mathematics and Spanish. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Analytics at Oakland University. In her free time, Mia enjoys reading, baking, and running.


 

Assistant Coach - Mallory
Coach Mallory joined the Life Time team in August with a lifelong background of swimming. She has coached for college club swimming and masters teams in previous years. Mallory grew up swimming for club teams, including OLY and Liquid Lightning, as well as high school varsity swimming. In recent years, she has competed in college club swimming and triathlon teams at Michigan State University. In high school, she was a state qualifier in the 400-freestyle relay. In college, she earned a place on the college club swimming nationals team for the 100 and 200 freestyle. She specialized in mid-distance freestyle. Mallory graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree in Genomics & Molecular Genetics with minors in Bioethics and Business. She is currently in the application process for her Master's degree in bioinformatics. She is passionate about the love for swimming and individualized coaching.
