Introduced during the 2022-23 season, the award is given to the athlete chosen as the best swimmer and diver in the state of Michigan. Awards will be calculated and announced after NISCA All American list have been published.

Criteria used to determine the award:

  • Coach must be a MISCA member.
  • The results that will be considered for this award will be pulled from the NISCA All American
  • lists.
  • Diver:
    • The top ranked Michigan male diver will be named Mr. Diver.
    • The top ranked Michigan female diver will be named Ms. Diver.
  • For swimming, the Mr./Ms. Swimmer awards will be determined using an average of an athlete's top two ranking All American Swims.
    • ​Example: 
      • Swimmer A:  All American ranking of 10 th  in the 50 Free / All American ranking of 14 th  in the 100​ Free (Average of 12)
      • Swimmer B:  All American ranking of 8 th  in the 200 Free / All American ranking of 18 th  in the 100 Back (Average of 13)
      • The award would go to swimmer A (with the average of 12).
    • ​In the event of a tie between 2 or more swimmers with the same average, NISCA Power Points will be used to determine a winner.
