Athlete Code of Conduct
- Swimmers should arrive to practice on time.
- Being on time means being behind their lane, with equipment, 5 minutes before the warm up begins. Hanging out in the locker room does not mean you are on time.
- Swimmers should have a positive attitude in and out of the pool and practice.
- Swimmers should give their best effort every set, every race, every day.
- "The best you can do is the best you can. And that is good enough, as long as you are doing, the best you can do."
- Swimmers shall respect other swimmers, coaches, officials and parents.
- Golden rule: "Do on to others as you would have them do on to you."
- Swimmers shall set a good example to younger swimmers and be an exemplary leader.
- Swimmers shall be open to positivie criticism and understand the coaches are there to help them reach their highest potential.
- Swimmers shall clean up after themselves at the pool, in the locker rooms and while they are at swim meets.
- No trash left behind.
- Treat the facilities with respect.
- Swimmers will not be allowed to use cell phones during practice, on the pool deck, or in the locker room. Athletes can have them prior to arriving at the venue, and should be stored in their swim bag in case the swimmer has an emergency.
