Supernova Swim Team Parent Code of Conduct:

The purpose of a code of conduct for parents is to establish consistent behavior by parents. A parent/guardian needs to provide positive support, care and encouragement for their child’s participation in youth sports by following this code of ethics.

  • I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all swimmers, coaches and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sport event.
  • I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of any personal desire to win.
  • I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.
  • I will demand a drug, alcohol and tobacco free sport environment for my child and agree to assist by refraining from their use in the playing facilities.
  • I will remember that the game is for the children and not for the adults.
  • I will do my very best to make youth sports fun for my child.
  • I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect, regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
  • I will make every effort for my child to attend all practices and games and I will give proper notification to the coach if they are unable to attend.
  • I will see that all the requested fees are paid in full before my child participates.
  • I will complete my chaperone obligations and do my fair share of any duties asked of me.
