Jason Mohs - CMA Coach Bio
Assistant Coach

Jason has been around the swimming world since he was 11 years old, from summer swim clubs through high school, skipping the college years and into Masters Swimming into adulthood. Graduating from and swimming for Sauk Rapids-Rice, he was a 5-time State participant, a pool/varsity record holder for the 200 Freestyle, placing 7th at State in the 200 Freestyle, All-American, and part of record-breaking teams for the 200 Medley/400 Freestyle relays. From 1999-2009 he enjoyed running the timing system/scoring table at the SCSU home meets and helping "chaperone" their winter break training trips in Hawaii and Barbados. In 2016, he was a national qualifier in the 100 and 200 freestyle as a Master Swimmer in Greensboro, NC, placing 19th in his age group in both events. Unfortunately, following that meet is where he had to temporarily hang up the swim cap/goggles due to injury...ask him about it! He clearly loves being actively involved with the sport, sharing his passion for swimming with others through participating, officiating meets and it's great that he's now a part of our coaching staff!

I found a love for swimming and the swimming community when I was 9 years old and started competitive swimming as part of the St. Cloud YMCA Gator Swim team. I continued my swimming career as part of the Sartell Middle School and Sartell High School swim teams. After High School, I knew I wanted to keep swimming and joined the UW Eau-Claire Swim and Dive team for 3 years before leaving to study abroad in England. Upon returning from England and finishing college, I moved to Las Vegas to teach and was excited to start my coaching journey as a Cross Country and Track and Field coach. My family and I returned to Sartell in 2014 where I have enjoyed watching our kids become part of the community I loved and grew up in. It has been a joy watching my son and youngest daughter develop a love for swimming through CMA. I am excited to bring my passion for swimming, coaching, and working with youth to the CMA swimming community!
Mike Tornatore - CMA Coach Bio

I fell in love with swimming in the 9th grade and never looked back. I trained and competed with the Missoula Aquatic Club, where I had the incredible opportunity to be coached by Olympic Gold Medalist and world record holder Dave Berkoff. I went on to swim middle-distance freestyle at the University of North Dakota, where I continued to grow as both an athlete and a teammate. Swimming has always been more than just a sport to me-it's where I've found strength, focus, and joy, whether chasing personal bests or sharing the lane with teammates. I'm grateful for everything the sport has given me, both in and out of the water.
