About the Gators

The St. Cloud Y Swim Team is a year-round swim team for athletes ages 6 and older. We give swimmers of all levels – from beginners to national-caliber athletes – an opportunity to grow and achieve personal excellence in swimming. We also promote the values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility for the program, coaches, parents, other teams and teammates.

We are one of the few teams in the state to offer competitive swimming opportunities in both the YMCA League and USA Swimming. These leagues give swimmers a competitive experience while also having fun.

Our pool is located at the St. Cloud Area Family YMCA at 2001 Stockinger Dr. St. Cloud, MN 56303.

Please note: Everyone in the pool during practice times must be registered with the swim team. New swimmers may be registered through the free-week trial form, but all former swimmers must be registered and paid through the swim team. 

Achievements

• The St. Cloud YMCA Swim Team is the only team in St. Cloud to achieve level 2 status in USA Swimming’s Club Recognition Program. The St. Cloud YMCA is the only YMCA team in the state to be recognized in USA Swimming's Club Recognition Program. For more information about USA Swimming’s Club Recognition Program,  Click Here.
• The St. Cloud YMCA won the Per Capita title at the Minnesota YMCA State Swim Meet in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
• The St. Cloud YMCA took 10 athletes athletes to Y Nationals in 2023, 6 athletes in 2022, 2 athletes in 2013, and 1 athlete in 2014.
• The St. Cloud YMCA has 1 Junior National Qualifier in August 2015 & 2 qualifiers in 2022-23.
• The Gators have had won 11 USA State Meet titles since 2016.
