MEET VOLUNTEERING

STAR Swim Team is a parent-run organization driven by the commitment of its members. STAR families show their support for the swimmers and the coaching staff by paying their membership fees promptly.

Why volunteer:

  1. Your child benefits greatly from the program.
  2. Most clubs cannot function without substantial volunteer help.
  3. The economics are not there for a full professional staff to do all the things that need doing
  4. You are on the deck with your swimmer
  5. You get free food and drink
  6. You meet new people

Volunteer Commitment

STAR hosts 2 meets in Fall/Winter session and 1 meet in Summer session.  STAR staff cannot run a swim meet on their own.  They need a lot of volunteers.  ALL STAR families are required to contribute at least one session for each meet. It does not matter if your child is in the swim meet or not.
