STAR Programs

Stroker Program
This is the entry-level group where most children begin learning about competitive swimming. A child must be able to swim one length (25 yards) of the pool without stopping and be at least six years old. The emphasis is on fun and stroke development. Swimmers learn the competitive strokes as well as starts and turns. Stretching exercises are a part of each workout. Strokers practice 2-3 times per week for 75 minutes each practice.

 

Age Group Program
Swimmers in this group must be at least nine years old. Emphasis is on technique, training, and fun. Swimmers begin to learn more about the sport of swimming including training principles and competitive techniques and strategies. Age Groupers practice 3-4 times per week for 90 minutes each practice.

Junior Program
This program is designed for swimmers who generally range in age from 11 to 18. The program emphasis is on advanced stroke technique, increased training, goal-setting and fun. Juniors practice five (5) days a week.

Senior Program
This program is designed for swimmers 13 and older and emphasizes training, stroke refinement, dedication, goal-setting and fun. At this level, swimmers have made a greater commitment to the sport. Seniors practice six (6) days a week during the school year and twice a day during the summer season.

Masters Program

This program is for adult swimmers who want to continue their competitive swimming or just want to swim for the health of it.  Swimmers must be 19 and older.
