AGUA and TVSC Crowned Champions at Metro Open Water Championships

Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics and Three Village Swim Club won the Women's and Men's Team Awards respectively at the 2024 Metro Open Water Championships, held at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, NY. Bridget Lockwood, Allegra Speight-Ray, Sofie Dewan, and Ella Knox had the fastest 4 combined times in the Women's 5K (5:31:31.00). Annri Katoh, Cadie Park, Jacqui Wong, and Sofia Fong-Causone earned second place for the 92nd Street Y Flying Dolphins (6:11:28.00). On the Men's side, Johnny Casalinuovo, Nate Kimmy, Sergei Boudreau, and Ryan Sommerstad won first place with a combined 4:50:35.10. Finishing second for the men was AGUA, represented by Oliver Shao, Bruce Qian, Alexander Hoffman, and William Levine, who had a combined 4:53:17.00. Third place went to Long Island Express with Noah Stern, Liam Harty, Ethan Chinea, and Charles Voege (5:05:10.00). Team Awards were determined by each team's fastest 4 finishers in the 5K distance.
