Hello Swim Families, Due to the Presidents Day holiday, Long Fitness Center at Fort Riley will be closed on Monday, February 20th. Similarly, the pool heater at Genesis is down, therefore, there will be no Marlins swim practice on Monday, February 20th, 2023. We apologize for the inconvenience. We hope that Genesis will have the pool heater fixed by the end of the week. If not, White and Minnows swimmers will be able to swim at Long Fitness Center from 5:00 to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; this...
Hello Swim Families! The pool heater has been repaired and practice is back on at Genesis in Manhattan! We will see you there from 7:00 to 8:00 pm! The water will be a little cooler than normal, but it will still be within the FINA- and USA Swimming-approved temperature range for practices and competitions. Thank you, -Coach Reid
Hello Swim Families, The pool heater at Genesis is still broken, meaning the water is too cold to swim. Like last week, all White & Minnows swimmers are welcome to join us at Long Fitness Center on Fort Riley from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Genesis told me today that they don't think the pool heater will be fixed before Wednesday, meaning you might want to plan on swimming with us on Base at least 3 days this week. I will continue to check with Genesis every day to see...

Apply for a day pass to Fort Riley here: https://pass.aie.army.mil/riley/ The staff at Genesis told me today...
Hello Swim Families, Here is some quick information about Districts that was left out of the previous update. First and formost, Districts is a 14 & Under meet now, meaning that no swimmers aged 15-years or older may compete. If any 14 & Under swimmer holds a Champs cut in a given race, they may not swim that race at Distrticts as they are essentially "over-qualified." However, they may swim any event for which they hold a Districts cut but have not yet achieved a Champs cut. The registration for...

Expected practice attendance: 3 practices (but the more the better). Foundations of stroke techniques and the ability to swim up to 100 yards without stopping is the goal of the Minnows group. Swimmers are highly encouraged to attend as many meets as possible, with a minimum of 1 swim meet per month required for...
