The Lowe's YMCA in Mooresville, North Carolina offers two swim team options: Lightning and Penguins. 

The Lightning Swim Team is a year-round USA Swimming and YMCA swim team for competitive and advanced swimmers. The team competes in local, regional, state, and national meets throughout the year in both short course (25 yard pools) and long course (50 meter pools) seasons. 

The Penguins Swim Team is a recreational team which competes against other Charlotte-area YMCAs in the winter. It is an entry-level developmental group where the focus is placed on ensuring that athletes are having fun, forming strong team bonds, developing a solid swimming foundation, and learning competitive strokes.
