Greensboro Community YMCA Makos

The Greensboro Community YMCA is home of the 2008 GYSSA League Champion Makos! Training sites are located at the Bryan Family YMCA in downtown Greensboro, the Spears Family YMCA in northwest Greensboro, the Hayes-Taylor YMCA in eastern Greensbor, the Eden Family YMCA in Eden and the Greensboro Aquatic Center. GCY is founded on the belief that a child’s involvement in competitive swimming offers a unique opportunity and an invaluable experience in his or her life; one that will help shape athletes as both competitors and individuals. Our mission is to offer a multi-level competitive program that stresses both individual improvement and team achievement while teaching its swimmers to train and compete according to the YMCA core values.
