11th Annual Black Heritage Championships
The 11thAnnual Black Heritage Championships in Cary, NC take place May 25-26, with an entry deadline of May 15th. The GCY Makos have had a long history of continual support for this meet and will continue to do so. Swimmers from GCY must register with the NC AquaBlazers in order to compete – I have attached the application for the NC AquaBlazers, it has a deadline of April 30th, which has already past, please fill out and return as soon as possible (immediately if interested).
Below is a note received by the meet director earlier this week:
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Your swimmers who want to swim with the NC Aquablazers just need to complete the attached NC Aquablazers Swim Team Registration Form and send it along with a one time annual team membership fee ($50/swimmer) to our Vice-President Lisa PJ Webb at the address listed on the form. In terms of entering the meet, they just need to send their events/times to me at [email protected]and I will include their entries with the rest of the NC Aquablazers Swim Team entries.
I am also attaching the approved meet info. NC Swimming has extended the meet entry deadline to May 15th so your swimmers still have time to enter. I will be posting the Approved Meet Info and our Swim Team application online later this afternoon. I am working on entering teams into the meet right now.
Just another FYI. The NC Aquablazers Swim Team is an AAU travel team so none of your swimmers who swim with us at this meet would violate the USA Swimming rule about swimming on 2 USA swimming teams at one time.
