GCY finishes 9th at NC State Champs!
In what has often been called the top swimming state in the country, the GCY Makos finished in the top 10 at the North Carolina 14&Under Championships!
A team record 47 swimmers represented the Makos, led by McKenzie Campbell, MacKenzie Rider, Robert Tars, Kyle Kwon, and Heather Sigmon who all had individual top 8 finishes. McKenzie Campbell WON 2 state titles the 50 breast and the 200 IM and led all GCY scorers, and Heather Sigmon WON 1 state title in the 100 backstroke. Anna Marie Harding, Alaina Joyce, Omega Pinnix, Emily Ally, and Bethany Denson all had individual top 16 finishes, and a host of Makos led MULTIPLE RELAYS to scoring positions!
