Practice updates for Week of July 5 - July 12:

Please look over the schedule below closely, it is split into 4 main sections (ALL ACTIVE SWIMMERS WILL GET DAILY REMINDERS ABOUT SCHEDULE since it so broken up this week!):

  • GAC Normal Schedule Monday through Wednesday Afternoon
  • Bryan YMCA: Monday - Friday Practices (Sat 1/2 hr)
  • Sunday Only, Back at the GAC, July 5 and July 12:(Sun only)
  • SPECIAL GAC SHORT COURSE PRACTICES, Thursday, July 9
  • BACK TO NORMAL Week of Monday, July 13th

GAC SCHEDULE, Monday through Wednesday Afternoon, July 6-July 8

GAC Monday - Wednesday Afternoon Schedule:

  • Morning:
    • 6:30am-8:30am Senior, National Prep, and National 
    • 8am-9:30am AG1, AG2, Senior Prep, National Prep 
  • Mid-Day
    • 1:00pm-3:00pm Senior, National Prep, and National (last mid-day 1-3 practice this week is Wednesday, July 8th at GAC)
  • Evening (Monday and Tuesday Only for GAC):
    • ​5:00pm-6:00pm Long Dryland Class for Seniors, National Prep, National
    • 5:45-6:00pm - Normal Dryland for Senior Prep, AG1, AG2
    • 6:00pm-8:00pm - Senior, National Prep, and National 
    • 5:45pm-7:30pm - AG1 out at 7, AG2 out at 7:15, Senior Prep out at 7:30pm 
    • WEDNESDAY GAC IS CLOSING AT 3:00PM, EVENING PRACTICE WILL BE AT BRYAN YMCA

BRYAN YMCA, M-TH 3:30-4:45 July 6-9th, PLUS Wednesday Afternoon - Saturday Morning, July 8 - July 11:

Monday through Thursday Afternoon:

  • 3:30-4:45pm at Bryan YMCA (normal) AG1, AG2, and Senior Prep (in conjunction with City Meet Prep Clinics, none offered on Monday, July 6th OR Friday, July 10th (last class is Thursday, July 9th) NO CLASS OFFERED ON MONDAY, JULY 6th
  • ​Dryland Classes: 5:00pm-6:00pm Long Dryland Class for Seniors, National Prep, National - DRYLAND is offered Tuesday and Wednesday only this week

Wednesday and Thursday Evening: 

  • Evening:
    • Wednesday Only: ​5:00pm-6:00pm Long Dryland Class for Seniors, National Prep, National 
    • 5:45-6:00pm - Normal Dryland for Senior Prep, AG1, AG2
    • 6:00pm-8:00pm - Senior, National Prep, and National 
    • 5:45pm-7:30pm - AG1 out at 7, AG2 out at 7:15, Senior Prep out at 7:30pm 
    • NO FRIDAY EVENING PRACTICE ON FRIDAY, JULY 10th (only option will be the morning practice).

Friday Morning and Saturday Morning:

  • Friday (Only practice offered on Friday, and remember, Thursday morning is at GAC 7am-9am):
    • 6:30am-8:30am Senior, National Prep, and National 
    • 8am-9:30am AG1, AG2, Senior Prep, National Prep 
    • City Meet Participants may use 6:30am-7:00am for specific City Meet warm-up
  • Saturday (OFF - because we are practicing Sunday):
    • City Meet Participants may use 7am-7:30am  for specific City Meet warm-up

BACK AT THE GAC: Sunday Only, July 5 and July 12:

  • Sunday July 5th:
    • Long Course 1:00-3:00pm at GAC, all ages and levels (AG1 released at 2:00pm, AG2 at 2:15pm, and Senior Prep at 2:30pm; all other groups go through 3:00pm)
    • City Meet Prep Clinic schedule begins, Final Session 3, 5:00pm-6:15pm at the Bryan YMCA (GCY swimmers we recommend the GAC 1:00pm practice)
  • Sunday, July 12th:
    • Long Course 1:00-3:00pm at GAC, all ages and levels (AG1 released at 2:00pm, AG2 at 2:15pm, and Senior Prep at 2:30pm; all other groups go through 3:00pm)

SPECIAL GAC SHORT COURSE PRACTICES, Thursday, July 9

  • Thursday, July 9th (Traditionally last practice of week for those in Greensboro City Meet and Hickory USRY Meet)
    • 9am-10am - Starts/turns/finishes
      • ​Designed for those who are peaking out at Greensboro City Champs or other upcoming summer league championships.
    • ​7am-9am - First 1 hour and 15 minutes will be typical practice, last 30 minutes will be starts/turns/finishes (15 min transitional/instructional)
      • ​Designed for those who may be competing in City Champs but wanting to stay fit for upcoming regional/state/national and Tar Heel States level championships.

Practices resume Monday, July 13th: Monday - Thursday afternoon will be primarily at GAC, Thursday evening - Saturday primarily at Bryan YMCA
