GCY Swimmer Heather Sigmon to Compete Against World's Best this Weekend!
GCY's Heather Sigmon will compete in the Arena Pro Series at the Minneapolis University Aquatic Center this weekend! The FINA approved meet includes Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Missy Franklin, Katie LeDecky, and many, many more!
We thought it would be a nice idea if some of the younger kids might draw up a poster or 2 to wish her luck - she'll be the sole team competitor and one of just a few from this state competing. Heather participated in all of our City Meet Prep Clinics, and even after aging up has always stopped by NC 14&Under Champs (JOs) to wish the younger kids well - she's the first to volunteer for things....I just thought it would send a great message from the team and I know it would help her swim faster!
If you'd like to make her one, there's not much time - just drop it by the front desk at Bryan YMCA or bring it to practice, we'll be leaving for Minnesota AFTER Thursday morning's AM practice.
