INTRO TO COMPETITIVE SWIMMING
The Northern Lights Swim Association Marlins is a competitive swim team for ages 5 and up. We welcome swimmers from Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo plus surrounding communities.
If your child has done swimming lessons* and is ready for more, plus a fun and supportive team environment, try an Intro to Competitive Swimming session!
FAQs
- Who is this for? This is age appropriate for elementary, middle school, and high school swimmers who would like to get into competitive swimming and have taken some swimming lessons. It's never too late to try a new sport. The coaches will work with you where you are at.
- Who are the coaches? All of the Marlins coaches are professional coaches who swam at the collegiate level.
- What do I need to bring? Goggles, a towel, and swim suit. Wear what you are comfortable in, no need to buy a competitive suit.
- Where does this take place? Join us at the Moorhead High School pool. We'll send directions to those who register.
- Am I committing to joining the team? No! This is a great way to just try competitive swimming. We will share more about the team and how swim meets work, but there is no pressure to join.

There are no make up sessions
Cost is $99
*Child must be comfortable alone in the water. The pool is 25 yards and no flotation devices are used. Swimmers do use fins the majority of the time. The shallow end is 3'4".
