week #11 of our 2025/2026 Short Course Season for our Senior Team...we are gonna continue getting after it and work our way into swimming shape both at morning practices and evening practices...

week #10 of our 2025/2026 Short Course Season for our Age Group and Developmental Teams...we are gonna start getting after it… practices are oriented towards stroke work and skill development for about a third of the practice daily and/or divided into different groups at practice...

NEW Information:

Senior Team morning practice @Moorhead High School (MHS) this week on Monday, Wednesday & Friday @6:00am - 7:30am

Senior Team morning practice @Hulbert Aquatic Center (HAC) this week on Tuesday & Thursday @5:30am - 7:00am

PLEASE check the schedule weekly for the most up-to-date practice schedule

we NOW have access to the boys lockeroom at the beginning of practice

no high school home meets till December

FMY Gators IMX and Fall Invitie this coming weekend...lots of changes to events because of distance events closing to max entry

NO PRACTICE - the afternoon/evenening of Friday, 21, 2025 due to FMY IMX & Fall Invites meets

offering both EARLY and LATE options for Senior Team this week (practicing ONLY 1 1/2 hours)

CONGRATULATIONS!!! to the Marlins Swimmers that swam in the 2025 MINNESOTA & NORTH DAKOTA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS this past weekend...what a GREAT showing for the MARLINS High School GIRLS...GREAT JOB!!! Ladies

IF you are a high school girls swimmer and attending the IMX / Fall Invite this weekend...SUPER IMPORTANT to attend practice this week and take your break after this weekend...IMO for BEST RESULTS!!!

General Information:

ALL swimmers MUST be registered with Marlins Swimming of The NORTHERN LIGHTS (NLSA) & USA Swimming in order to practice.

Swimmers NOT registered with BOTH the Marlins & USA Swimming will not be able to practice, or they must register online at the pool in order to practice. NO EXCEPTIONS...Thank you!

Swimmers that will be in 7th grade this fall '25 / register with the Senior Team (reach out to Coach Pat if you have questions)

Protocols for Practice:

Practices at Moorhead High School (2300 4th Avenue S, Moorhead, MN 56560)
Enter thru the MAIN SCHOOL entrance to Moorhead High School door#19 (thru doors past weight room, turn right down the hallway to the pool on the left…use door by coaches office to enter the pool) which is a turn left down the hallway once you get to the pool
Illness - PLEASE keep your swimmer(s) home from practice if they are running a fever, are nauseous, vomiting, or may be contagious to others. Thank you for working with us to keep everyone safe and maintain our opportunity to swim!!

DROP OFF/PICK UP at the POOL-

1. Please wait until your swimmer(s) are inside the school doors / pool doors before leaving when dropping them off.
We want to ensure the doors are open at the school / pool before your swimmers are left at the pool without a ride home

2. Please come inside to pick them up as we have our swimmer(s) wait inside the school/ pool area OR inside the school

Practice Attendance Expectations:

Senior Team (no limit on weekly practice attendance / would like at least 3 / practice attendance should be reflective of GOALS!)
Age Group Team (up to 5 practices weekly / would like at least 3)
Developmental Team (up to 3 practices weekly)
