week #6 of our 2025/2026 Short Course Winter Season for our Age Group and Developmental Teams...we are going to keep getting after it… FREESTYLE emphasis this week...practices are oriented towards stroke work and skill development for about a third/HALF of the practice daily and/or divided into different groups at practice...

If you are new to our Swimming family ...

General Information:

ALL swimmers MUST be registered with Marlins Swimming of The NORTHERN LIGHTS (NLSA) & USA Swimming in order to practice.

Swimmers NOT registered with BOTH the Marlins & USA Swimming will not be able to practice, or they must register online at the pool in order to practice. NO EXCEPTIONS...Thank you!

Swimmers that will be in 7th grade this fall '25 / register with the Senior Team (reach out to Coach Pat if you have questions)

Protocols for Practice:

Practices at Moorhead High School (2300 4th Avenue S, Moorhead, MN 56560)
Enter thru the MAIN SCHOOL entrance to Moorhead High School door#19 (thru doors past weight room, turn right down the hallway to the pool on the left…use door by coaches office to enter the pool) which is a turn left down the hallway once you get to the pool
Illness - PLEASE keep your swimmer(s) home from practice if they are running a fever, are nauseous, vomiting, or may be contagious to others. Thank you for working with us to keep everyone safe and maintain our opportunity to swim!!

DROP OFF/PICK UP at the POOL-

1. Please wait until your swimmer(s) are inside the school doors / pool doors before leaving when dropping them off.
We want to ensure the doors are open at the school / pool before your swimmers are left at the pool without a ride home

2. Please come inside to pick them up as we have our swimmer(s) wait inside the school/ pool area OR inside the school

Practice Attendance Expectations:

Senior Team (no limit on weekly practice attendance / would like at least 3 / practice attendance should be reflective of GOALS!)
Age Group Team (up to 5 practices weekly / would like at least 3)
Developmental Team (up to 3 practices weekl)
