Thank you to all the swimmers who attended our annual stroke clinic this weekend! It was a great clinic. Special thanks to Linzey Erickson, MMSC and MHS alumna who came from Fargo to coach the clinic. She had feedback for young and old and it was very nostalgic for her to be back on deck in Mandan. Congratulations to the 19 Marlins swimmers who competed at the 10 & under State Championship Swim Meet. Our team had 2 State Champions Eliza Verville in the 100 Freestyle event. Joseph Seidling in the 200 Freestyle event. We had many best times, many top 8 and top 16 finishes. Thank you to all the swimmers and parents. We exceeded our goal raising $8781.00. We had a wonderful Friday evening of swimming, playing games and team building. Kye Knodel, Drake Schoellkopf and Jacob Schanandore won the door prizes.The money raised through the Swim-a-thon helps us keep our fees affordable and helps us raise money for new equipment. A special thanks to Amy Dahl, Mary Cooper and Darlyne Luger for collecting pledge donations during the Swim-a=thon.
We saw lots of swimmers trying NEW events and strokes, many best times, state qualifications and new team records. Congratulations to all our Marlins Swimmers! We appreciate all who volunteered to make our home swim meet a HUGE success. Congratulations Mark Seidling, who broke a team record from 1986 in the 15 – 16 Boys 1650 Freestyle in 19:50.06! Thanks everyone for a great weekend!
