Action Needed: Survey for CVSC 2022-2023 Season and Annual Board Meeting

Hello Icebreakers,

We hope that you all are enjoying summer and starting to think about getting back in the pool in a few months. 

We are planning for the 2022/2023 winter short course swim season and need your help as we get things ready for a new swim season.

1) Board Members Needed: As you may know, the CVSC is run by a volunteer adult board.  Keeping our swimmers in the pool and having a successful swim season requires the support of the Board throughout the year.  We would love to have additional volunteers for the Board and will be voting on new members during our annual meeting on Monday, August 22nd at 7 p.m.  All Board positions will be open for nominations and new members including the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and at Large Members. Please join us for the annual meeting and help make this season a success for our swimmers!  A virtual meeting link will be shared closer to the meeting date so please save the time so that you can join us. 2) NE Swimming Championship Schedule CHANGES:  For the 2022/23 season, New England Swimming (NES) has decided to make some big changes to the championship meet schedule.  This year, instead of holding Regional Championships in February, Regionals will be held in early December.  Silvers Championships traditionally held in mid-March will be held in February and Age Group Championships will be held in March.  These changes are intended to make sure that Silvers Championships are held before Age Groups since Age Groups has more challenging qualifying times. However, As a result of these changes, we are considering the impact on our swimmers and our team and we would like some input from parents as to how and whether this should impact our planning for the upcoming season.  Please take a few minutes to answer this quick survey to help inform our decision around these changes.
