NE Swimming names 3 swimmers in each age group as Outstanding Swimmers for the SCY and LCM seasons based on a point system. Amelia Benkert was named an Outstanding Swimmer for the 2013-14 short course season, and Zoei Howard was named an Outstanding Swimmer for the 2014 long course season. Shawmut Aquatic Club was nationally ranked 128th for SCY and 85th for LCM in this year’s VCC. Phenomenal performance from all of our swimmers made this possible. Great work to all of our swimmers for this wonderful achievement! GO SHAWMUT!!

Shawmut traveled to the Jenny Thompson Pool in Dover, NH for 14 & Under Championships. The outdoor 4 day meet was especially tough this year due to difficult weather and sunny conditions. At nights, we even swum under the lights at night. This year's championship meet format was particularly interesting because it included more age groups with different scoring along the way. NE Swimming scored top IMX per age group. Shawmut swimmers of every age worked together to keep each other positive, tough, and ready to perform. And it worked!...

Shawmut competed at the 2014 NASA Junior National Championship Cup from 3/26-3/29 in Clearwater, Florida. The women finished 3rd in the overall team scoring, and the team finished 8th in combined scoring. There were many outstanding performances, including 6 events winners and 27 team records. Shawmut places 3rd at 12 and under Championships Shawmut finished 3rd in the combined team standings at 12 and under Championships in Vermont this past weekend. This was a great team effort with a number of outstanding performances. Each year, USA Swimming recognizes its member athletes who excel both in the classroom and in the pool. The Scholastic All-America Team is made up of high school student-athletes who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and who have achieved the required time standard in a single event.
