Senior Division

Senior Elite (SRE)

This is our highest level training group and requires the greatest commitment from the swimmers. These athletes have shown dedication to training, racing, their goals, and the team.

 
Senior Championship (SRC)

This group is designed for high-achieving athletes with other obligations and/or training constraints that do not allow for the rigors and/or time commitment of SRR or SRE. Many of these swimmers excel within NM Swimming (NM Swimming & NMAA State Finalists) and have competed regionally (Sr. Zones, Sectionals, Futures), other swimmers will have achieved state times (or are approaching such) and are working diligently toward regional-level competition.

Senior Regional (SRR)

This group is designed for athletes who are beyond the Age Group Program.  Based on age and ability, athletes will either be working towards or have already achieved a regional level competition qualification (SWAGR/Age Group or Senior Zones/Sectionals). Major focuses of the group are a higher level of commitment to swimming as their main sport, competing, and goal setting. 

Senior State (SRS)

This group is designed to foster younger and/or less experienced athlete’s maturity in training, and growth as competitive swimmers.

 

Age Groups

Age Group Regional (AGR)

This group is designed for athletes who are beyond the Championship Age Group Program.  Based on age and ability, athletes will either be working towards or have already achieved a regional level competition qualification (SWAGR/Age Group or Senior Zones/Sectionals). Major focuses of the group are a higher level of commitment to swimming as their main sport and competing. 

Age Group Championship (AGC)

This group is designed for athletes with other obligations and/or training constraints that do not allow for the time commitment of AGR. The minimum age requirement for this group is 8. Many of these swimmers excel within NM Swimming and should be approaching state qualifying times, and eventually working toward regional-level competition.

Age Group State (AGS)

This group is designed to foster athlete’s growth as competitive swimmers, and overall training capacity as a developing athlete. Swimmers must be at least 10 years old.

 

Developmental Program

Gold Team

This group is designed with the improvement of physical and emotional maturity as athletes in mind, and will focus on the improvement of these aspects of individual athletes, with the hopes of becoming an effective athlete and eventually moving on to one of the Age Groups. 

Silver Team

This group is designed with the improvement of physical and emotional maturity in mind, and will focus on the improvement of individual athletes’ comfort in water and overall physical literacy with the hopes of building the foundation for a successful athletic career.

Bronze Team

This group is designed with the improvement of physical and emotional maturity as athletes in mind, and will focus on the improvement of individual athletes’ overall physical literacy.
