CAQ Group Change Criteria

 Charger Aquatics Coaching Philosophy Guidelines for Group Placement, Structure & Standards Group Moves will be facilitated at the sole discretion of CAQ’s professional coaching staff ~3 times per year (Start of short course in August, mid-season at the winter holidays, and at the start of long course season in April).

Group moves are considered for athletes exceeding the bounds of their current group in terms of maturity, effort levels, and teamwork. Out-of-cycle moves are rare since standards for advancement increase at a commensurate rate with overall group improvement.

Coaches also take into consideration whether an athlete has demonstrated the capacity to meet the increased attendance, training, and competition requirements for the next group.

When Evaluating for a Group Change, the CAQ Coaching Staff will follow the below Criteria for Placement (as well as Group Expectations).
