Good Afternoon! The outdoor pool at NMSU has been temporarily closed. Some sort of mechanical malfunction. This means that ALL users of the NMSU Aquatic center have to be moved inside limiting lane availability. In the spirit of sharing, the current practice schedule will be adjusted by 30 minutes later. Good Afternoon, There will be a practice schedule modification during Thanksgiving week (11/24 - 11/29). The pools have availability limitations, and many of our coaches are home with their families as NMSU and LCPS do not have school. Please read carefully as there is some nuance. Good Morning!! There are several practice modifications that I want to bring to your attention. On Monday, October 27th, we will be having an all team practice at NMSU from 6-7:15 PM. To make logistics easier for the Senior Group they will be having practice from 5-6 PM at NMSU. On Friday, October 31st (Halloween), the Senior Group will be having their normal practice at the Las Cruces Natatorium from 4-6 PM, but all other Groups will not have practice. With 25 LCAT swimmers and both coach Chris and I are headed to the state meet this weekend, there needs to be some minor practice modifications for this weekend beginning Thursday evening. All practices will be at the Las Cruces City Natatorium. The water has been chilly, so I encourage our younger swimmers to break out their wetsuits! Thursday (7/10) - Maroon/Senior Groups combined from 4:30-6:00 PM, all other groups at normal times. Happy Easter! Attached as promised is the Spring/Summer Practice Schedule. The Senior and Masters schedule has changed the most in terms of time and location (Please Read carefully!!). The Black, White, Silver and Maroon Group schedule has only changed location. The Senior Group will change again after school gets out. Good Afternoon! I've had a lot of questions about whether we are returning to NMSU in March. The status of the pool there remains unreliable. As of this past Saturday, the indoor pool was closed for mechanical reasons and the outdoor pool was 77 degrees. So the plan going forward is to remain at the City Natatorium through March 22nd. We will have the swim-a-thon at NMSU on March 24th, and then begin our 2-week break. We will resume practicing on April 7th, and I will reach out before then...
