ABOUT US

The North Coast Aquatic Team (NCAT) is a competitive swim team for athletes age 6 and up.

Founded in 2022 through the merger of the Shaker Sharks and Solon Stars, NCAT brings together:

• Experienced coaching from both clubs

• Shared philosophies and positive team culture

• Athletes who succeed across all age groups

We offer year-round training at three convenient locations:
📍 Shaker Heights
📍 Solon
📍 Brecksville Broadview Heights

NCAT is a proud member of USA Swimming, the governing body for the sport in the U.S.

HOW WE OPERATE

🕒 Year-Round Training
NCAT trains year-round, with brief breaks in March and August. Registration is open most of the year.

📅 Two Main Seasons

• Winter (Sept–Mar): Short course meets (25 yards)

• Summer (Apr–Jul): Long course meets (50 meters)

🏆 Each season culminates in local & national championships.

Each site has its own staff and schedule, but shares NCAT’s unified training plans and values.

HOW TO JOIN

✅ 1. Schedule a Tryout
Join our group tryouts at season start or contact us for individual tryouts anytime. Tryouts help us place your swimmer in the right training group.

📝 2. Register Online
After tryouts, head to the Registration tab on our website. Follow the guided steps. Questions? Contact us anytime.

🎒 3. Get Your Gear
Check the Equipment List for your training group. Swimmers need to bring their own equipment—but we have loaners to get you started.

🏊 4. Start Practicing!
Once registered, you're ready to jump in and begin your journey with NCAT!
