NCAT Registration is Open!

NCAT’s mission is to develop individuals to maximize their potential in and out of the pool.

 

 

NCAT offers a guided age-group program for children age 5 and up.  NCAT operates out of two primary locations.  We have multiple locations. We have a location in Solon, at the Solon High School, Brecksville/Broadview Hts at Eagle Valley and a location is in Shaker Heights.  The Shaker Heights location has (2) sites, the Shaker Middle School pool and the Woodbury Elementary School pool.  Please refer to the practice schedule for locations and times by practice group.  

 

We offer training groups for the beginning swimmer to the most competitive and skilled swimmer. 

 

NCAT is a year round swim program that has a couple different registration periods:

Fall Fees:  NCAT Fall 23 & Annual Practice Fees

A group placement evaluation is required to ensure swimmers are able to complete the above requirements as well as to assess which practice level he/she should be placed in. Information on our levels is available on the website.

'24 Tryouts

 

Solon Try-outs:

Shaker Try-outs:

LOCKER ROOMS: Please be sure to arrive in your suit. Locker rooms may be used after the tryout or for swimmer restrooms. No parents are permitted in the locker rooms.  

 

Please bring goggles. Caps are optional, but bring one if you want to use one.  Don’t forget your towel! 

 

Try-outs should last approximately 15 minutes. After try-outs, the swimmer and parent will receive feedback from the coach and instructions on how to register, as well as which group to register for. 

 

Completing an evaluation does not guarantee you a spot on the NCAT  team. Team registration is required and registrations are processed in the order received. If practice groups fill, a waitlist will be utilized for any additional openings.

 

  

Swimmers must complete group placement evaluations, be registered with NCAT, registered with USA swimming, and approved in order to attend practices. 

 

 

Team Registration: 

Registration for New Swimmers will open at the start of group placement evaluations. Visit ncatswim.com and look for the registration tab and registration link on the right hand side of the website.  . 

 

1. New swimmers click on try-outs and register for a try-out.  DO NOT REGISTER ON THE TEAM WEBSITE UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED A TRY-OUT. 

Returning swimmers, click on the appropriate practice group and follow the step by step registration instructions.  Upon checkout, confirm your payment plan.  Fee summary includes annual team registration which includes USA Registration.  Default payment plan is annual.  You must select monthly to be billed monthly and not that annual fee.  Monthly payments are billed on the 1st of each month (with the exception of the 1st payment; as you are billed the first month at registration).  

 

2. Follow all instructions. Be sure to fill in all emails that you'd like information to be sent to, including athlete’s email 14 & Over! Also, please fill in the SMS (Standard Messaging System) with your cell phone information to receive text messages that we may need to send at the last minute or with important information. 

 

3. Your account will be pending until manually approved by our staff. This may take up to a week.

 

TRANSFERS ARE ONLY FOR THOSE TRANSFERRING FROM ONE USA TEAM TO ANOTHER--see form above. This is NOT for those coming from the Country Club League, or the JCC. YMCA Swimmers should only fill this out IF they were registered as a USA Swimmer. 

 

4. Please be sure to mark the correct shirt size for your swimmer. This is how we know what size to order your swimmer for their team shirt and we do not order extra. 

 

5. Your swimmer may begin practices once you receive your email of approval from TeamUnify. Please allow up to 1 week.

 

Once you register and your registration is approved, you will receive an email from TeamUnify (TU) asking to confirm your email. Please do so! This is where all our team information comes from. Please check your junk/spam folder, as sometimes it filters in there. Once the season begins, a weekly newsletter is sent out with important due dates and practice changes for the week. Please let us know if you are not receiving this weekly email from our president. 

 

 *Returning members, NCAT will process your USA Registration.  You do not need to register on your own for USA Swimming for the 2023-24 season.  

New swimmers, after approval from NCAT, all  swimmers must register for USA Swimming. USA Swimming registration is included in your annual team registration.   Cost per season is $80 paid directly to USA swimming by NCAT.
