The mission of Prosper Aquatic Club is to develop motivated versatile swimmers, who are prepared to compete with excellent sportsmanship, self-disciplined to attain individual goals and maintain positive teamwork in a fun, safe, supportive environment while maintaining the highest standards of child protection consistent with the standards of the Prosper Independent School District, USA Swimming and the Prosper community.

TRYOUTS

TRYOUT PREREQUISITES: 1) Completed Prosper Swim School level 10 or enrolled in Bridge. 2) Completed another swim school with stroke training in backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle and flip turns. 3) Swim team experience.

GENERAL INFORMATION: The Prosper Aquatic Club (PAC) is a member of USA Swimming and a Prosper ISD program. PAC is a year-round competitive swim team with two primary seasons: Fall/Winter (mid-August through February) and Spring/Summer (mid-March through July). Year-round swimming is encouraged but not required to be a member of the PAC and swimmers do not have to be a PISD student.

ASSESSMENT: Swimmers may be recommended for the Prosper Swim School (PSS): https://prosperswim.net. The Prosper Swim School (PSS) is a PISD sponsored program but is operated separately from the Prosper Aquatic Club (PAC). 

WHAT TO EXPECT: Swimmers must be able to swim across the 25-yard pool and demonstrate the four basic strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle) and flip turns. Knowledge and demonstration of the proper stroke techniques is required to join the swim team (PAC). 

Parents are not allowed on the pool deck but can watch from the stands inside the natatorium. 

WHAT TO BRING: Swimmer dressed in swimsuit with a pair of goggles, swim cap, and a towel.
