Orinda Aquatics Swim Team Dominates 13-18 Group

An unusually warm October weekend welcomed over 40 swim teams and 988 swimmers to Campolindo High School in Moraga last weekend. Parkers filtered into the surrounding neighborhoods and swimming families set up weekend camp.

The host team, the Orinda Aquatics, took home a remarkable number of top finishes in the A, B and C Divisions along with a number of overall 1st place finishes. While the Aquatics realized top finishes across many age groups, the 13-18 age group dominated the meet. Like many year-round teams, Orinda Aquatics also offers a fall swim program for summer recreational swimmers – the Orinda Aquatics Polar Bears - and a number of Polar Bear swimmers participated in the meet, including 10& under boy Cole Lauritzen who won his 50 Breast event.
