Developing Athletes Character on Your Swim Team Don and Ron will discuss concepts that help build a foundation of mutual respect and unconditional team commitment. Some of the concepts discussed will include emphasizing leadership over times, humility over ego, self-confidence over self-doubt, and the team over the individual. They will give examples of how they integrate academic excellence, parent appreciation, and dealing with adversity into their team philosophy and culture. Additional topics will include traveling with no chaperones and how and when to discipline. |
