Championship Dates

 

  • 'B' Champs (aka Divisionals), Saturday morning, July 19th, at Pennypacker from ~7am-12pm

  • The Meter Free Champs, Monday, July 21st, evening meet at Ply Mar ~4pm-7pm

  • The IM Champs Wednesday, July 23rd,  Hidden Hollow ~4-7pm

  • 'A' Champs (aka League champs) Saturday, July 26th, at Aronimink. Morning session (8's, 10's and 12 girls, 7-12pm), afternoon (12 boys, 14's and opens 12-4pm) 

  • Parents should remain flexible during championship week as weather has forced us to shift nights in the past for the Meter Free and IM Champs.

Qualification for Champs

 

  • Each swimmer is allowed to swim in a maximum of 4 individual events across Divisional and League Champs, as long as one of those 4 is a distance event (Meter Free or IM). If they choose not to swim at the Meter Free or IM champs, then they can only swim in 3 individual events.

  • If a swimmer swam faster than the "A" qualifying time during the season, they cannot swim that event at Divisionals.

  • Swimmers can swim at both Divisionals and League Champs (i.e. if Susie missed "A" champ time for fly but made it for free, she could swim fly at Divisionals and free at League champs). Parents will need to consider relays for their swimmers and that they may be needed at either champs (even though their swimmer may not be competing in an individual event there). Coaches will determine relays.

  • Entry times for distance events should be done at "Last Chance Time Trials" (see below for more information). Distance times from winter or last summer can also qualify.

 

Last Chance Time Trial Meet

 

  • Last Chance Time Trial will be held on this Thursday, July 10th, in lieu of practice. There will be no regular practice on this day.  This is a time trial ONLY for those very close to an A champ cut.

  • Keep an eye out for a sign up to let us know you are coming and in what events.

 

Entry Deadlines

 

  • All championship entries are due on July 10th at the close of the club champs meet - enter your events in Team Unify.

 

  • Last Chance qualifiers - Week 5 dual meets DO count towards qualifying for League champs. If a swimmer qualified for the "A" time in an event during that meet, be sure to let us know that night and we will let the league know and they will switch the swimmer from Divisionals to League champs.
    NOTE!! Very important: ** The swimmer must already be signed up for Divisionals for that event to be switched to League Champs.**
