Emmett Walling Director of Competitive Swimming

Coach Emmett Walling was named Director of Competitive Swimming and Head Coach of Peddie in 2021. A former Head Coach of the Coronado Swim Association (CSA), Walling joined Peddie Aquatics as the Junior Program Director in the fall of 2018 and quickly moved to the role of Senior Program Director in 2019. Following a competitive swimming career spanning eighteen years, Coach Emmett has decided to make a lifelong commitment to the sport of swimming and to share his passion with today's athletes. Emmett steps on deck with goals to inspire great technique and the excitement of racing every day. 

A native of Manasquan, N.J., Walling attended Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Fla., before becoming a student-athlete at USC in 2009-10 and team Captain for the 2010-11 season. Walling was part of Indian River's 34th and 35th straight National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) crowns in 2008 and 2009. He broke NJCAA records in 2009 in the 50 free (19.43) and the 100 breast (53.83), earning Swimmer of the Meet distinction. During Coach Emmett’s swimming career he established himself, as a 7 time All-American, well ranked among USC's top ten in the 50/100y free and 100y breast, NJ High School State Champion - 200 IM and 100 breast, and recently inducted into the Mansquan High School Hall of Fame.

Emmett graduated from USC in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology - Human Performance. In addition to his prior coaching with CSA, Coach Emmett was most recently an Assistant Coach for the UC San Diego Tritons under Head Coach and the 2016 Rio Olympic Games Women’s Head Coach, David Marsh. Growing up in New Jersey, Emmett competed for Central Jersey Aquatic Club (CJAC), spent 10 summers as a beach lifeguard and is an avid surfer and huge advocate for the ocean. 

Jennifer Duffy Junior Program Director / AG2 Lead Coach

Coach Jenny is an experienced and passionate swim coach with over 10 years of coaching experience. As the Junior Program Director at Peddie Aquatic Association, she leads the age group program, helping swimmers build strong technique, confidence, and a love for the sport.

A lifelong competitive swimmer herself, Jenny is committed to giving back by coaching the next generation. She focuses on long-term development, emphasizing accountability, team culture, and resilience in a supportive and challenging environment.

Jenny has helped swimmers achieve qualifying standards not only at the state level, but also at regional and national levels. She also runs Elite Swim Coaching, a private program focused on technique, goal setting, and leadership. Through this, she works with athletes of all levels—including youth at the Boys and Girls Club. 

She is actively involved with New Jersey Swimming LSC, supporting athlete development and helping grow the sport across the region.

Jenny holds a degree in Communication with a minor in Business from Michigan State University and is a certified USA Swimming Coach, ASCA member, and CPR/Lifeguard certified.

Her mission is simple: to help every swimmer become the best version of themselves—both in and out of the water.

Heather Librizzi Varsity & SP Assistant Coach, Team Admin

Coach Heather Librizzi joined Peddie in 2021 as Emmett Walling's Assistant Coach for both the Varsity team and the Peddie Aquatic Association Senior Performance group. Since then, athletes have qualified for and finaled at Junior Nationals, Senior Nationals, and TYR Pro Series meets.

Before Peddie, Heather coached with New York City’s Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics (2017–2021) as the lead Senior 1 coach, where her swimmers advanced from Junior Olympics through Junior Nationals. She also coached under Olympic medalist Bill Forrester at Georgia Coastal Aquatic Club, developing nationally ranked 9 –12 age group freestylers, including athletes who later qualified for the USA Swimming National Junior Team.

A 2013 graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (B.F.A., Illustration), Heather was the 2012 NAIA National Champion in the 1650 freestyle, a three-time All-American, team captain, and part of SCAD’s 2010 National Championship team. In High School she was a YMCA National finalist in the 100 & 200 butterfly and 500 freestyle.

Tina Winthrop Senior Lead Coach

Coach Tina grew up in Robbinsville, NJ and began swimming at Miry Run Country Club in Robbinsville at the age of 9. She swam on the summer team for Miry Run until the club closed and then she joined the Brooktree swim team. At the age of 10, Tina began swimming year round with Hamilton Aquatics. She swam on the age group team and senior team until she left for college. She also swam for four years at Lawrence High School and continued swimming for another four years at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ.

During her time at FDU, Tina was team captain for three years and repeatedly placed in the top 16 at the Middle Atlantic Conference championship meet. Her best events were the 400 IM and the 500, 1000, and 1650 Freestyle. Tina has coached the Brooktree Swim Team and has been teaching swim lessons for the past 5 years to children of all ages. Coach Tina graduated from FDU with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. She currently works as a substitute teacher in various districts in Mercer County and continues to live in Robbinsville with her parents. Coach Tina joined Peddie Aquatics as an 8/u assistant coach in November 2009 and is excited to be able to spread her knowledge of swimming to children who love the sport as much as she does.

Rob Fisch Falcon Lead Coach

Rob started swimming as a 14-year old summer swimmer in his hometown of East Windsor, NJ for the Twin Rivers Torpedo’s. He had much success as a summer swimmer, and then went on to year-round swimming with the Peddie Aquatics team. Rob swam through high school at Hightstown, which Rob currently holds two relay records and swam in college. During Rob’s sophomore year at William Paterson University he achieved the All American Certificate in the 100 and 200 Butterfly. He started coaching the Twin Rivers Summer Swim Team at the age of 18, and continued all through college. Rob graduated from William Paterson University with a B.S. in Mathematics. His dedication to swimming continues on as an active member of our Masters Swim program and still competes in open water races in the summer. Rob lives in Freehold with his wife, Emilie and children Max and Elianah.

Dana Meth AG1 Lead Coach & AG2 Assistant Coach

Coach Dana Meth is our AG1 lead coach. Dana joined the Peddie Coaching staff in September of 2023. Dana boasts over 40 years of extensive experience in the realm of swimming, both in and out of the water. A dedicated member of USA and NJ swimming since 2008, Dana has consistently showcased her passion for the sport.

For the past 16 years, Dana has served as the esteemed head coach of the Lawrence Lightning Swim Team, a recreational and entry-level competitive swim program in Lawrence Township. Her coaching prowess extends beyond Lawrence, with 12 years of valuable contributions to various New Jersey club teams in the region.

Having coached with renowned organizations, Dana has honed her expertise in developing competitive stroke techniques and refining racing strategies, particularly for Age Group swimmers. Her commitment to excellence is further demonstrated through her role as the instructor for a competitive Stroke & Turn Clinic at the Lawrenceville Swimming Association pool every summer since 2007.

Coach Dana’s wealth of knowledge and her ability to connect with young athletes, has made her a pivotal figure in the swimming community. Her enduring dedication to the sport and the development of aspiring swimmers speaks volumes about her leadership and coaching capabilities.

Steven Vitabile Senior & AG2 Assistant Coach

Steven joined the Peddie Aquatics coaching staff in the fall of 2017 and works with our AG2 and Senior Group swimmers. He has enjoyed working with all athletes and abilities ranging from first timers to Zone championship qualifiers. He got his start in swimming with Peddie as a 9-year old and swam competitively through high school with the team, favoring the long distance freestyle and butterfly events. He was a member of the Hightstown High School swim team where he was their team captain.

Steven receivied his B.S in Exercise Science-Applied Kinesiology from Rutgers University. Combining his passion of swimming and running to the sport of triathlon, he has competed in races ranging from the sprint to half-ironman distance. He competed with the club triathlon team at Rutgers qualifying for Club National Championships all four years. He has placed at several National Championship races, and qualified for multiple Age Group World Championships at the olympic and half-iron distances. His dedication to swimming continues on as an active member of our Masters Swim program.

Thomas Livecchi Age Group Assistant Coach

Tom began swimming at the age of 6 with the Ben Franklin Swim Club, part of the PASDA summer swim league. He continued his swimming career at The Pennington School, competing for four years and serving as team captain during both his junior and senior years.

He began coaching at age 18 with Ben Franklin and went on to lead several PASDA teams before joining the staff at Pennington Aquatics. Tom also coached at Lawrence High School, where he served as an assistant coach before becoming Head Coach of the Girls’ Varsity Swimming Team in 2017.

Tom earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 2021. He currently lives in West Trenton with his wife, Silvia.

Michelle Wriede Falcon & AG1 Assistant Coach

Coach Michelle graduated from Providence College on a swimming scholarship with a degree in Education. She currently teaches in the West Windsor-Plainsboro school district, combining her love for teaching with her passion for coaching young swimmers.

With years of experience coaching swimmers of all ages — from summer league to competitive athletes — Coach Michelle has helped swimmers qualify for Junior Nationals, Senior Nationals, and Olympic Trials. She has been with Peddie Aquatics since 2002, coaching lessons and junior groups. Her focus is on teaching strong stroke mechanics and drills to prepare swimmers for competitive training and help them reach their potential.

Michelle started as a competitive US Synchronized swimmer before switching to competitive swimming in high school. She swam for Providence College’s Division I team, earning Rookie of the Year and a spot on the Big East All-Star Academic Team. She still competes with Peddie Masters and holds US Masters Swimming Gold Medals and a National Record.

She has coached Peddie Falcons and Junior Development groups, where many of today’s top Peddie coaches began. Before Peddie, she was an Assistant Coach for senior swimmers at Merrimack Valley Pirates Swim Club in Massachusetts.

Coach Michelle is passionate about helping young swimmers improve, succeed, and most importantly, enjoy their time in the pool.

Greg Wriede Coach Emeritus

Former Head Coach of the Peddie Varsity Swim Team and the Peddie Aquatic Association 2001-2021, Greg Wriede ’95 led the Peddie Falcons to 11 Eastern Interscholastic Conference titles, a 128-38 dual meet record and 13 Mid-Atlantic Prep League titles.

He developed over 130 High School All Americans and coached 7 National Prep School Record swims. In 2018, Wriede guided the Peddie School boys’ team to a 6th place finish in Swimming World Mythical Rankings. In his 20 years of coaching, the girls and boys combined to place in the top 10 teams in the country 13 times.

Wriede was named as a USA National Junior Team Coach for 2009-2010, 2010-2011, and 2014-2015 seasons. In 2011, Wriede served as the Head Coach of USA Swimming’s Western Zone Select Camp and in 2009 served as an assistant coach for USA Swimming’s National Select Camp.

In the summer of 2010, Wriede headed the Jamaican National Youth Team to the first–ever Youth Olympic Games. Wriede served as an assistant coach for the USA National Youth Team at the Mare Nostrum Series in June of 2010.

Wriede built the Peddie Aquatic Association into a USA Silver Medal Club, recognized as one of the top 100 clubs in the country since 2008. The team won the Speedo Championships Series in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011. In 2014 he coached Patrick Park to a berth on the USA National Junior Team and coached Connor Signorin to a berth on the USA National Youth Team in 2009 and 2010.

Wriede’s Peddie swimmers, as both students and alumni, represented the countries of Korea, Hong Kong, Barbados, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Israel and Jamaica in international competitions including the Olympic Games, World Championships, Pan Pacific Games, Pan American Games and the Commonwealth Games. Peddie alum Roy–Allan Burch represented Bermuda at the Olympic Games in 2008 in Beijing and again in 2012 in London.

Wriede coached USA All–Americans and produced qualifiers for Olympic Trials, World Championship Trials, U.S. Open and Junior Nationals. In addition, his swimmers have placed in the Top 16 National Age Group rankings over 100 times while setting 60 New Jersey State records.

Wriede lives on campus at Peddie with his wife, Michelle and their three children Ethan, Brady & Kylie.
