Between October 6 – 10, 2022 USA Swimming will bring together an elite group of 51 emerging female athletes at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado for National Select Camp. Among those selected to participate is Seattle Metropolitan Aquatic Club swimmer Ella Jablonski.

To select the camp attendees, USA Swimming invites the three fastest swimmers during the qualifying window in each Olympic event. USA Swimming also invites 3 open water swimmers and 6 athletes based on their IMX scores.

USA Swimming Select Camp is designed for the top USA Swimming member athletes in the nation to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Swimmers are selected from the USA Swimming’s SWIMS database of top times in the country. During the camp, these swimmers will learn about post-race recovery, drug and supplement rules, psychological training skills, nutrition, race strategy, and more.

Coach Tommy Cunningham said, “Ella’s focus, effort, and determination has culminated in her being one of the best athletes in the nation. It’s been great to see her develop in the sport and to see her earn a spot at the National Select Camp. I’m excited for Ella to get this great opportunity with USA swimming to aid in her ambitious pursuit of her high goals in the sport. Congrats Ella!”

Alumni of the camp include Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 medalists Katie Ledecky, Bobby Finke, Lilly King, Michael Andrew and more. For more on the USA Swimming National Select Camp, visit https://www.usaswimming.org/swimmers-parents/swimmers/swim-camps#national-select-camps.
