Team Events

Besides swim meets and practices, the CHS Sundevils host a number of other team events throughout the season.  See below for more information for our 2025 events and we hope to see you there!

 

Picture Night

Monday, June 23rd, 5:00-6:30pm at Clary's Forest Pool (during practice time)

Individual and a team photo will be taken by a professional photographer and be available for purchase.  There will be no swim practice on this night to allow for the facility to be used for pictures.  Swimmers are encouraged to wear their team suit if they have one, or our team colors (purple and black) if they do not for team pictures.

 

Charity Night

Saturday, June 21st, 6:30-10:00pm at Swansfield Pool

2025 fundraising will support:

Each summer we host a charity night to raise money for an important cause during a night of games, food, and fun in the pool.  The night includes a cardboard boat race (rules below) along with other games and activities to be announced.  Join your fellow Sundevils for a night of fun for a good cause!

 

Cardboard Boat Race Rules

What to do:

  1. Build a cardboard boat for one to three people.
  2. You may decorate your pool-faring vessel - but NO paint, glue, stickers, or non-waterproof markers.
  3. Bring one or two water guns if you choose to slow down the other racers
  4. Bring your boat to race at the charity event on Saturday June 29th!

Rules:

  • All boats must be made primarily of cardboard; you may use duct tape and up to two pool noodles to help keep it afloat.  But no other waterproofing materials or floatation devices (such as inner tubes) may be used.
  • DO NOT USE paint, glue, or any other materials that could possibly leach chemicals into the pool.
  • Each boat may have up to 2 water guns and up to 2 paddles. 
  • Water guns may be used to slow down other boats or confuse other team’s members, but may not be used in a dangerous or unsportsmanlike manner under judge's discretion.

 

Teen Night

Thursday, July 10th, 8:00-10:00pm at Swansfield Pool

This event is for Sundevils that are 13 and older

Join us for glow-in-the-dark capture the flag, floats, and s'mores! We are asking each teen to bring a snack to share.

 

Awards Night

Thursday, July 24th, 5:30-9:30pm at Swansfield Pool

We will celebrate the swimmers and all they have accomplished this summer with awards, dinner, and fun!  This is a potluck event.  More details to follow.
