Time Trials

7:15 Arrival for 7:30 am Warm-ups; Events begin promptly at 8:00 am
To establish a seed time for each stroke, swimmers will participate in a time trial meet prior to the first dual meet. The seed time is then used by the coaches to prepare line-ups including individual and relay events for the dual meets. Availability is collected on the website.
Swimmers will report to the Clerk of Course table to get their event (E), heat (H), and lane (L) numbers for each event before the meet starts. This will look like a table on their hand/arm similar to this. Deck Captains (“Chaos Coordinators”) will be available to line up the swimmers behind the starting end (deep end). Swimmers should listen for their event number to be called by the Deck Captains to know when to report to the start end of the pool.
Swimmers are encouraged to swim all the events that they are able to swim. The order of events is IM (Individual Medley), freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. There are no relays at Time Trials.
