Good morning, Shark Families!

It’s the end of May and the pool is now open, which means…the 2025 summer swim season BEGINS THIS WEEK!

Below are a few reminders from our parent meeting (thanks again to everyone who took time to join us on a rainy night). As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me or Gina if you have any questions.

Today & Tomorrow: Little Flipper Evaluations

  • ONLY Little Flippers (6 and under) need to attend a brief evaluation with our coaches at the pool today or tomorrow between 4:15 and 6 pm. 
  • Please use the sign-up to reserve a time slot.
  • We will be monitoring the weather closely and will communicate any delays or plans to reschedule if needed as soon as possible.
  • Coaches will email Little Flipper practice group assignments by Wednesday evening.

First Practice is Thursday

  • Afternoon practice begins this Thursday, 5/29, and runs through the last day of school, 6/11. 
  • A parent/guardian/adult responsible for each swimmer is required to stay at the pool during afternoon practices for all swimmers ages 12 and under.
  • Please plan to arrive early; the check-in line may take longer than usual during the first few days.
  • When morning practice begins on 6/12, parents are welcome but not required to remain on deck during age group (7-18) practices. However, Little Flippers (4-6) must have a responsible adult on deck at all times.
  • Thank you for picking up your swimmer(s) promptly after their practices so our coaches can turn their attention to the next age group.

Swimsuit and Spiritwear Orders Due Next Week

  • If your swimmer would like to order the *new* team suit and wants to try on the sizing kit, please stop by the clubhouse today or tomorrow between 4:15 pm and 6 pm OR Thursday (5/29) or Friday (5/30) during practice.
  • ALL swimsuit orders with payment are due by June 1. Payments can be made on one of these fitting dates or dropped off at Abbie’s house (12611 Lake Normandy Lane).
  • As a reminder, every swimmer gets a team shirt with their registration. If you would like to order additional shirts or spiritwear, please place your order through our Team Store by June 4.

We Love Our Volunteers!

  • A huge THANK YOU to all the families who have already signed up for a season-long volunteer role to help give our swimmers the fun season they deserve! 
  • If you haven’t yet signed up, please click here to choose your family’s commitment as soon as possible.
  • We are happy to approve middle and high school service hours!

Officials Needed URGENTLY

  • Each team in our league is required to provide Stroke & Turn Judges and a Referee or Starter at each meet.
  • Due to swim families aging out of the program, we are in desperate need of an additional 3-5 Stroke & Turn Judges and a Starter this year. 
  • No prior experience is required; the league offers a training (online or in-person) followed by an open-book test and 3 meets shadowing of a certified official .
