Coaches and Directors
Julia Moser is a former member of the Chase Club Sharks from when she was 6 until her last eligible year when she was 18 in 2019. During her childhood, she began swimming for the Sharks and loved it so much that she joined the Mason Makos for one year before switching to NCAP where she swam until graduating high school. After graduating from Fairfax High School, she went on to study Psychology at Iona University with a triple minor in Visual Arts, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Security Threat Assessment and Terrorism, all while maintaining her spot on the Dean’s List and swimming for their Division 1 swim team. While there, Julia set 5 school records, in 200 breast, 100 IM, 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, and a MAAC conference record in the 400 medley relay. She is also a 7x conference champion, with 3 wins in the 100 breast, 2 wins in the 400 medley relay, 1 win in the 200 breast, and 1 win in the 200 medley relay. Her senior year, she was also named athlete of the year for her school with the 2022-23 Joseph E. O'Connell award and won the first ever NewYork-Presbyterian Stay Amazing Award. She has been coaching since becoming a junior coach for Chase Club in high school and continued coaching into college becoming a swim instructor for the FCPA in summer 2021, an assistant coach for the Apawamis Country Club in 2022, and the Assistant coach for the Fairfax High School swim team during the 2023-24 season. She is very excited to return to the Chase Club family and cannot wait to see her old teammates and get to know the newer members of the team!
Erin currently attends Fairfax High school and swims for the high school team. She lettered in the 100 backstroke as a freshman. Erin has been swimming with Chase Club Sharks for over 10 years. She received the coaches award two of those years. Also in that time, she has made the All Stars four times! She has been a valuable part of the team and relay teams.
Most recently, Erin coached the Sharks Winter Swim program. She is very excited to lead as an assistant coach this season and share her love of swimming with the community. She loves being a part of the team and can't wait to coach this summer!
Owen has been a member of the Chase Club Sharks since 2015 and has been a coach since 2022. He swam in the divisional meet in each of his seasons with the team. He was also a member of the Fairfax High School swim team prior to his graduation last year. While on the school's swim team, he lettered and qualified for Districts in the 200 free, 500 free, and 100 back. He is now a student at the University of Maryland where he continues to coach swim as a water safety instructor, teaching people ages 3 to adult.
Owen is very excited to continue coaching for the team and looks forward to working with every family to make this upcoming season a success filled with unforgettable memories.
