Hi Sharks…Here is our weekly news. Good luck to all of our swimmers participating in the IM Tough meet Monday night!

July 7 – 10 Declare Deadlines

Please let us know whether or not your child is available to swim for the remaining meets this season (click here for instructions):

  • For our Wednesday B Meet: Declare by Monday, July 7, at 8 pm.
  • For Relay Carnival on Sunday, July 13: Declare by Wednesday, July 9, at 8 pm if your child is interested in participating.
  • For our Saturday A Meet: Declare by Thursday, June 10, at 8 pm.
  • For Divisionals on Saturday, July 19: Declare by Thursday, June 10, at 8 pm. 
  • The Divisionals meet consists of all the individual events in a regular A meet. This meet is not scored as a team event; instead, swimmers are competing as individuals. Teams are permitted three swimmers in each event, and swimmers are selected for the events based on their times. Divisional times are the only times used to determine if the swimmer is eligible to qualify for All Stars.  

This Week’s Schedule

  • Our last week of flip-turn and dive clinics will take place on Tuesday and Thursday from 7 – 7:30 am and 10:30 – 11 am. Each clinic will be limited to 12 slots. Please sign up if your child is interested in attending one of this week’s sessions.
  • Thursday is the last practice of the regular season. There will not be any practice on Friday, but...
  • ...our annual Little Flipper Olympics event is happening at the pool at 8 am this Friday! We encourage all swimmers to come and help cheer on our littlest Sharks as they compete in a few events. Remember, this is their “big meet” for the year, so they need our support. (P.S. stick around for a tasty treat.)
  • We will celebrate our 2 graduating Sharks at this Saturday's meet during the break before relays. Please join us in congratulating them and cheer them on at their last meet!
  • Please share your photos with us! We are compiling photos from this season for the slideshow that will shuffle play during the end of season banquet. Please drag and drop any good photos from practices, meets, or social activities into this picture folder by July 18. You can download the Google Drive app on your phone or access this link on your computer or phone.

Important News

  • Three open Board positions need to be filled ASAP to be able to continue offering a summer swim team. Meredith (Treasurer), Gina (VP of Operations), and I (Team Rep) are moving into new roles at the end of this season. Please contact any of us if you are interested.

  • Wednesday, July 9: Developmental 'B' Meet (AWAY) at Chantilly Highlands
  • Thursday, July 10: Last day of Regular Season practices
  • Friday, July 11: Little Flipper Olympics (ALL SWIMMERS encouraged to attend to cheer on the Little Flippers)…NO PRACTICE
  • Saturday, July 12: League 'A' Meet vs ManorGate AND Senior Day (HOME)
  • Sunday, July 13: Relay Carnival at Sugarland Run
  • Saturday, July 19: Divisionals Meet at Countryside - Invitational Only
  • Saturday, July 19: Team Banquet at 6 pm. Be on the lookout for more information.
