Hi Sharks…

What an exciting week! From the IM Tough and last B and A meets to the Little Flipper Olympics and Relay Carnival, we had so much fun celebrating with your swimmers. A special shout out to our two seniors, Avery Adler and Leena Olibah - we are proud of you both and wish you all the best!

  • Meet Ribbons and Team Picture Orders

When your swimmer visits the pool this week, please remind them to check their folder on deck and collect the ribbons they have earned at meets this season. If you have not yet received your team picture order, it will also be in your swimmer's folder.

  • It's Party Time!

A reminder that our annual banquet is this Saturday, July 19, from 6 pm to around 8:30 pm. All swimmers, including Little Flippers, and immediate families are invited to attend. Our sharks get their end of season awards, find out who made All Stars, and show appreciation to our awesome coaches. Be on the lookout for a Sign Up Genius to RSVP so we can get an accurate head count. Since the pool doesn’t have enough tables and chairs for everyone, please Bring Your Own Chair and let me know if you are also able to bring a table. 

  • Donations for Coaches Gifts

If your family would like to contribute to monetary gifts for our wonderful coaches, please do so by Thursday, July 17. We will present the coaches with their gifts on behalf of the team at the banquet on Saturday. You can pay by:

  • Cash
  • Check made out to Kelly Kilga (please drop off at her house - 5540 Ashleigh Road - & text Kelly at 703-725-4222 to confirm she got it)
  • Venmo (@Kelly-Kilga…last 4 digits of cell is 4222)
  • PayPal (@KellyKilga)

Please note the name(s) of the coach on the Venmo transaction or write it outside of the envelope containing the check/cash. If there’s no name, the money will be split between all the coaches.

Our annual slideshow shown during the banquet is always a crowd pleaser! The kids love remembering the entire season and seeing themselves and their friends. Please remember to share your photos with us. Here’s the link to access the Google shared drive. 

  • Board Transition News

The Treasurer position has been filled and a few key volunteers are continuing in their roles next year! We only have a few weeks left to fill the Team Rep (co-chairs!) positions to be able to have a swim team next summer. Please contact Gina or me if you are interested or would like to hear what our positions entail.
