Practice and General Policies
While public schools remain in session, practices will be held after school, Monday through Friday. Practices will begin on May 27, 2025. Morning practices will start on Thursday June 12th and will also be held Monday through Friday.
- Parents may not coach their own swimmers, interrupt practice, or approach the coaches during practice. We have paid coaches and we trust them to coach the swimmers in the best way possible. If a parent has a concern to address with the coaches, please do so after all practices are complete for the day and/or via email. Concerns can also be addressed with the team rep.
- Coaches reserve the right to limit the practice sessions or to remove disruptive swimmers from practice. Parents will be informed of any behavior concerns that arise during the season.
- During morning practices, swimmers are not allowed in the pool unless it is their designated practice time. Siblings of swimmers are not allowed in any part of the pool (shallow end or baby pool) during practice times.
Specific Practice Times *Subject to change
Afternoon Swim Team Practices - May 27th until June 11th, 2025
13 and above - 4:15 to 5:15 pm
9 to 12 - 5:15 to 6:15 pm
8 and under & Junior Villains - 6:15 to 7:00 pm
Junior Villains will be evaluated during the 8 and under practice time on Tuesday, May 27th and Wednesday, May 28th.
No Mini-Fins practice while FCPS is still in session.
Morning Practices - June 12th until July 11th, 2025
8 and under & Junior Villains - 8:00 to 8:45 am
9 to 12 year olds - 8:45 to 9:45 am
13 and above - 9:45 to 10:45 am
Mini Fins - 8:15 to 8:45 am (Monday thru Friday)
Divisional Practices - July 14th until July 18th - Divisionals will take place on July 19th
All-Stars Practices - July 21st until July 25th - All-Stars will take place on July 26th.
