BATTLE OF THE AGES AND WORK SHIFT SUB LIST

Amy Ross

DolfinFamilies,

Battle of the Ages is only a month away!

What is Battle of the Ages?
Battle of the Ages is a swim invitational hosted by our team, where swimmers swim against competitors within 1 year of their age.  For example, 11 year olds swim against other 11 year olds rather than swimming against 11 and 12 year olds. On June 22 and June 23, over 1000 swimmers (16 teams) from across the county will fill the hallways and fields of Pleasant Hill Middle School.

As hosts of this huge community swim event, we encourage all participants to "Have Fun, Swim Fast!"  Every swimmer who pops their time can go to Battle Headquarters on the lawn next to the Snack Shack to get an otter pop. In addition to swim events, there will be a vendor fair, raffle and expanded offerings from our wonderful snack shack.

Workshifts

We ask every Dolfin family to work 2-3 shifts (totaling 3 or more points) at Battle of the Ages. Remember, this is our largest fundraiser for the team and proceeds from Battle help us keep costs to families low. Make sure that you sign up for the required shifts and if you can help out with additional hours, please check in at [email protected]. Thank you for your support!

Stay tuned for more exciting Battle of the Ages 2019  information regarding Battle Swimmer Shout Outs, the Battle Raffle and VIP Parking!

More Exciting News!!!!

The Dolfin Parent Board is working to create a sub list for families to utilize to assist in completing your required work shift volunteer obligation to the team. If you or a member of your family wish to become a work shift sub, you must be 15 years old (18 for the snack shack) and complete the Sub Signup Sheet athttps://forms.gle/LUsVbyTUWHEHBB6x9 by May 25th. Subs are compensated $50 per job shift directly by the family they are working for. Once we have compiled the list the Board will make it available on our website along with the protocol and sets for securing a sub for workshifts. If you have any questions, please contact Kat Hunn at [email protected]
