Dear Dolfins Parents:
As some of you know, the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District has created a Master Plan to upgrade the District's Park system. Prioritized in this Master Plan is a new aquatic center, roughly where the old center at Pleasant Hill Park stands now. This new aquatic center, planned to be a multi-season pool, will include new locker rooms and additional parking. The funding mechanism for these improvements is Measure A, a bond paid for by property owners in the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District. The following link gives a list of proposed projects Measure A will fund. https://pleasanthillrec.com/DocumentCenter/View/4468/Summary-Listing-of-Probable-Costs-for-Master-Plan-Projects
The Yes for Pleasant Hill Parks, Yes on Measure A Committee was formed and will be lead by campaign chair Zac Shess and treasurer Bobby Glover. The website is www.yesforpleasanthillparks.com; it can also be found on Facebook. Measure A will be voted on during the March 3, 2020 election.
The Dolfins Parent Board is asking our membership families to help out in any way you can. This can include spreading the word, volunteering time, or donating money for flyers, lawn signs and advertising. Whatever you do, whatever you give, can help make our new home a reality.
