Happy New Year! We wanted to share some information for the upcoming season.
A Note from the Head Coach
I am happy to announce that I will be returning as the Head Coach for the Dolfins this year! My position with the District has changed and I will only be coaching Dolfins, which will allow me to give 100% of my attention to the team. 2020 has been difficult on everyone but our kids are having a really hard time without their important activities. I want to be there to help bring back some "normal" to all of our Dolfin families.

2021 Dolfins Season
Good news: The District is planning for a 2021 Dolfins season! While we don’t know when the current health restrictions will ease, we have become experts at pivoting over the last year and are planning alternate programs in the event health order restrictions prevent a ‘regular’ season. This includes options such as small group clinics, a shortened season and revising how meets are held (holding them later in the summer and splitting meets by age groups in order to reduce capacity). We have planned the
meet schedule, but please be aware that this too may require changes. We will communicate changes as soon as we can.
Registration for the 2021 season opens on Monday, February 1 at 9:00 am. We are once again offering an optional payment plan. If you register in February, the payments are 1/3 at the time you register, 1/3 due on March 1 and 1/3 due on April 1. If you register in March, half is due at the time you register, with the second half due on April 1. If you use the payment plan, you must pay with a credit card, which will be auto-charged on the payment due dates.
New this year, we are requiring pre-registration for try-outs. Try-outs are free, but pre-registration will allow us to track attendance and for the waiver to be signed electronically ahead of time. Spring try-outs, for new 8 & Under swimmers and Mini Dolfins, will be held Friday, March 5 at 4:00 pm at PH Aquatic Park.
Registration for try-outs opens on February 1 at 9:00 am, and you
may register for programs before you attend try-outs.
Spring 2021 Programs
PH Aquatic Park will open for spring programs in March, and we are planning to hold Pre-Swim Team and Surf ‘N Turf Fit Club clinics in March, with Dolfins practice beginning April 12. We will also be offering lifeguard training starting in March. Registration for all of these programs, including the 2021 Dolfins Season, will open at 9:00 am on February 1.
In the event that you register for a program that is canceled or changed to comply with health orders, the District will provide a credit on your account to use towards other Rec & Park programs or a refund.
We are working to update our website with the program information, but in the meantime, you can browse the offerings in our
online catalog. Again, registration for spring programs opens at 9:00 am on February 1.

2021 is the
70th Anniversary of the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District. The District will be celebrating all year long with fun virtual and in-person (when allowed) commemorative activities all year long. The District’s Summer Camp Expo is going virtual on Saturday, March 6.
The 2021 Summer Youth Spotlight will be hitting mail boxes at the end of February. This Special Edition Spotlight will list all of our youth programs, including summer camps, for Summer 2021.
