DOLFINS WEEK 3 NEWS!!!
Greetings Dolfins! Welcome to week 3! We hope all new families are getting the hang of things and returning families are remembering things from 2019 :) By the end of this summer we will all be swim team experts, I promise! As always, respond to this email with any questions and I will be sure to get back to you promptly. GO PHD
Practice Reminders
We are allowing the 6&U and Mini swimmers to have one parent on the pool deck during practice, but it is very important that all parents stay back from the pool and maintain distance between other households. Masks are required for everyone on the deck and for all swimmers when not in the water.
Health and Safety Procedures
We are sending again the Standard Operating Procedures we have developed for the health and safety of all participants and staff. If you have any questions about the procedures, or should your child develop symptoms of COVID-19, notify Aquatics Program Manager Korey Riley at the District Office, 925.682.0896, or [email protected].
Team Suits
The online store has closed for team suit orders. Suits ordered before the store closed will be distributed at Time Trials (5/23). At Time Trials, we will have the sizing kit and the store will open for a final chance to order. Please watch your email for more information, including deadlines, as we get closer to Time Trials.
Family Fee & Work Assignments
It takes a lot of volunteers to run a swim team and all of the team activities. Once the meet schedule and total number of families is determined, the number of work assignments is confirmed. We will discuss work assignments at the team meeting on May 20, 2021. Sign-ups for work assignments will open after the team meeting.
Some jobs are season long jobs. One season long job area where we need a strong team this year is the Desk Team. The Desk Team is comprised of Computer System, Desk and Timing System. These positions work together to ensure swimmers get accurate times at meets, and they get a front row, shaded seat to the entire meet. it is by no means complicated, but does take a tiny bit of training. If you are interested in learning more about the Desk Team, please contact Amy Ross, [email protected]. It is a FUN WAY to attend a swim meet!!!
In order to ensure that everyone works their assignments, all families must submit a $500 Work Fee Deposit Check. Checks are not cashed unless families do not complete their work assignments. Checks can be turned into the pool office when your swimmer checks in for practice. Please include your swimmer(s) name on the check.
For more information, please see the Work Assignments page of the team website.
