NOTE FROM HEAD COACH TALLI

Hello Dolfin Families!

Hard to believe we are already starting our 5 th week of practice! Last week was a bit rough with 3 sick coaches but I was so impressed with how well the swimmers cooperated to help get us through it. I have been so happy with the progress that is being made in all practice groups! It is so fun watching these kids grow and support each other as well as welcome the new swimmers.

This week we will be working on IM's. We will basically be reviewing all 4 strokes and learning IM turns. All 7 & older swimmers swim the IM (Individual Medley=1 lap Fly, Back, Breast & Free)

TIME TRIALS is on Sunday, May 22. The meet starts at 9:00 and will go until about 1:00. Warm-Up will be at 8:00 for 10 & Under Swimmers and 8:30 for 11 & Older Swimmers. Watch for details in next week's email. Team suits that were ordered will be distributed and sample suits will be available for last chance fittings. All swimmers will be given a maroon latex PHD swim cap. Please sign your swimmer in for Time Trials if they are available to swim. Generally, all swimmers swim all events to get a starting time for the season. I complete all entries for this meet for swimmers who are signed in. Let me know if you have any questions. I do not usually have new swimmers swim the IM since it can be a crazy first race but there will be some exceptions. If you can't make it to Time Trials, then you will get starting times at the first few meets.

You may see new coaches on the pool deck. Coach Natalie started working with the 8&U swimmers last week and Coach Molly is back from college and will be coaching all 12&Under swimmers starting this week. Coach Nay will continue to help coach the 9-12 group through Time Trials when Coach Joe and Coach Renee return from college.

Let me know if you have any feedback, questions, or concerns. I'm always available by text or email.

Have Fun, Swim Fast,
