NOTE FROM HEAD COACH TALLI
Hello Dolfin Families-
The first week of Summer was AWESOME! Practices are going great and we are seeing a lot of stroke improvements and so many popped times! Often when we make stroke corrections the swimmers add time in their races but in the long run the improvements pay off. Don't expect swimmers to drop times every race. As their times get faster the drops will be smaller. Nothing in life progresses in a straight line. Enjoy the great swims and learn from the disappointments, but still keep smiling. The goal is to teach swimmers to handle things with grace.
I want to thank everyone who is signing their swimmers in by the deadlines. This week I had 2 dual meets and Battle to complete entries for and with 250 swimmers it takes A LOT of time. Remember to sign into meets by Friday at 6pm for the following Wed/Sat meets. Invitationals have special deadlines so read the emails.
The only way to change an entry is by texting me. Do not email the board through the website. Do not email Amy. I don't have time to check both of my emails searching for changes. It's best to text me so I have everything in one place when doing entries.
For the Oakhurst meet I modified some of the entries so swimmers could try events they haven't popped times in for a while. I also want swimmers to have times in all events if they can swim the stroke legally.
I will have coaches in the water working to correct breaststroke kicks.
We are hoping to have our snack shack freezer fixed this week so we can hand out frozen Otter Pops to the swimmers!
Have Fun, Swim Fast!
