Dolfins December 2024 News!

Korey Riley

Hello Dolfin Families!

We have seen a lot of growth during our Fall Swim program, both in numbers and skills! I am looking forward to teaching new skills and drills to the whole team when we get back together in the spring. If you want to get a head start on the season, we are offering clinics in March for both Swim Team and Pre-Swim team swimmers.  All new 10 & under swimmers must register for and attend a free Swim Try Out in order to be placed properly in our programs.

I will be teaching a few lessons through the District in February and during Spring Break for younger siblings who need a little help to meet the requirements for Pre-Swim Team or the team. Contact me directly about availability.

The Dolfins season starts April 14. Last year the 7/8, 9/10 and 11/12 age groups reached capacity, and we expect that to be the case again this year. Please sign up early to receive the lowest price and to secure your spot on the team. A payment plan is available when you register early. If you need assistance registering for any programs, please call the District Office at 925-682-0896 (M-F, 9am-5pm, closed Holidays).

We have added an evening Mini-Dolfin practice time this summer and moved our combined evening practice to 6pm to help working parents and kids who are in camps.

Please see attached for our 2025 schedule, and below for more information about additional aquatics programs! https://www.pleasanthillrec.com/DocumentCenter/View/11598/Dolfins-2025-schedule-as-of-10-7-24

Have a wonderful Holiday Season!

Feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions.

Have Fun, Swim Fast!

Polar Bear Pool Party
Friday, December 20, 2024, 4-5:30pm
Can You Bear the Cold? Kick off winter break with a pool party! Enjoy swimming in the heated pool, aquatics games and hot cocoa. Are you brave enough to test the chilly waters of the training pool? Event is for all ages and will be held rain or shine. Register Here!

Lifeguard Training
The District is hiring lifeguards and swim instructors for the spring and summer! All applicants need to have American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification, and we are holding a few classes this winter and spring. These positions are great opportunities for swimmers to give back to their community and learn valuable life skills. Check out our website for classes and application information (will be posted soon!).

New Priority Regsitration for District Residents
Starting with the Winter/Spring Spotlight, the District has implemented a new priority registration period for District residents.  This allows District residents to sign up for classes and activities two days earlier than non-residents.  Residents of the District include anyone residing in an address with the 94523 Zip Code, plus some unincorporated areas of Lafayette and Walnut Creek. To verify your residency, please check your property tax statement or reach out to our District Office Customer Service team at (925) 682-0896.

Registration for the 2025 Dolfins season, Spring Swim Team Clinics, Pre-Swim Team, Swim Try Outs and all our Winter/Spring classes opened for residents on Monday 12/9 and to everyone Wednesday, 12/11.
