How to get your Ribbon - Ribbons are usually available to pick up from the alphabetized file boxes on the picnic tables under the covered area at the pool on Tuesday mornings during Donut Fun Day.  Occasionally, the ribbons are not available until Wednesday morning.  You are welcome to check your family’s file during practice when the files are sitting out or ask a Board member for help. 

DQs/Disqualifiactions - Your swimmer might not earn a ribbon for each event that they swim, including when they are “DQd” or disqualified (ex. They use a stroke or kick or wall touch that isn't "legal" for that stroke).  We will have a list of DQs next to the file boxes so you can learn why your child DQd. 

How Ribbons are Earned - The following is from the River City Racer’s League bylaws:

• For all heats -- ribbons will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place swimmers in all events including relays. 
• 8 & under swimmers placing 4th - 6th will be awarded (green Participant) ribbons unless they are disqualified.
