The Walton S&D Booster Club is proud to offer: The Grace Bunke Scholarship

These scholarships are brought to you by the Bunke Family and the Premier Sponsors of our Swim & Dive Booster Club:  OTR Solutions, Heritage Building Group, Iglar Asset Management of Raymond James, Career BFF, and Jeff Xu - State Farm.

We will be offering up to two swimmers/divers a $750 scholarship. The student athlete must meet the following criteria in order to qualify for this scholarship. NOTE: Student athletes MAY apply for both the Booster Club Scholarship and the Grace Bunke Scholarship; however, applicants may only receive ONE scholarship.

Criteria:

1.         The recipient must be enrolled full time at Walton High School.

2.         The recipient must be a Walton High School Senior.

3.         The recipient must be a current active swimmer or diver on the Walton Swim & Dive Team.

4.         The scholarship may be used at any four-year accredited college or university.

5.         The scholarship funds of $750 will be paid directly to the winner(s) with the understanding that the recipient will utilize the money for college expenses.

6.         The Google Doc form linked below, Grace Bunke Scholarship Application, must be completed and submitted.

7.         Essay Section of Application (under 1,000 words): "How has overcoming challenges impacted your life or the lives of those around you? Describe what you learned from these challenges and how it shaped your goals for the future." 

11.      Due Date: February 27, 2026.  No entries will be accepted after this date.

12.      A scholarship committee, made up of the coaches, members of the Walton S&D Board, and the Bunke family, will select the winner(s) by mid March.

13.      The scholarship winner(s) will be notified via email after the awards banquet.

14.      The scholarship winner(s) will be awarded a check in the sum of $750 at the awards banquet.

15.      Awarded amount: $750 Scholarship for up to two seniors per swim and dive season.
