Registration and Fees
Eligibility
The LLD is open to registration for children ages 5-18, as of June 1st of the current swim season. The family registering their child (or children) is required to be a member of the Lake Linganore Association (LLA). Returning LLD team members (as of the 2018 season) who are not members of the LLA may continue as members until the swimmer(s) leaves the LLD or ages out. In accordance with the LLA, the total size of the team is limited to 225 swimmers.
Registration
Membership recruitment occurs twice in the spring prior to each swim season:

| Returning families may register returning swimmers and add new swimmers from their families via the registration website. Registration will be opened up to new members/families begining in April. It is important to sign up your swimmers as soon as possible as we cannot exceed 225 swimmers total. |
New families should plan to attend the mandatory informational zoom meeting to learn all about LLD and what to expect as a member of our team. More details on this meeting coming soon. New families may sign their swimmers up for Swim Evaluations/Tryouts via our website. It is important to understand that this does not mean your swimmer is registered and on the team. Spots are granted on swim team once a swimmer passes the required swim evaluation and offered in the order of signup until our roster is full. All other swimmers who pass will be placed on a waitlist and offered a spot on team should one become available prior to our first swim meet on 6/14. Your swimmer is not permitted to practice until online registration is complete and your $250 volunteer check has been turned in to a Board Member. We encourage families to be prepared to register your swimmer immediately following evaluations on May 28th. More information will be provided during the mandatory new family information meeting on April 10th. The number of new member registrations will be based on the number of available spots after the registration deadline for returning families.

Fees
Fees associated with membership will be communicated through the team website: https://www.lakelinganoredolphins.com, electronic communications, and approved social media platforms prior to registration for the upcoming swim season. Fees for the current season:

All swimmers (returning or new) must have registered, submitted the required documentation, submitted the volunteer agreement, and paid in full prior to the first swim practice of the season to remain in good standing. Swimmers who are not in good standing may not attend a practice or may be removed from the LLD membership as determined by the Board.
